Ladder 174 ff James Halversen's life was tragically taken from his wife and 3 daughters when he was shot by a thrill killer on January 4th 1997 while he was jogging at the local highschool track. 

Jimmys wife Rosaline gave birth to his twin girls 4 weeks lafrer on 2/2/1997. The family and firehouse were crushed by his loss. Jimmy was larger thsn life and was everyone's friend. 

This was a non-line of duty death so there is no pension for his wife and family. 

E310/L174 and the FDNY answered the call to offer emotional and finanical support in the years that followed his horrific murder. Rosie endeavored to raise her 3 girls as a single mom ansd deal with the health issues of her own along the way.
