Captain John Henry "Hans" Meister joined the FDNY in March of 1920 and rose to the rank of Captain. He died on October 13th, 1943, five days after fighting a five alarm electrical fire in Long Island City. Today, Captain Meister’s death would most likely be considered line of duty. Among his many accomplishments, Tony was the founder of the UFOA’s Family Protection Plan. Chief Morelli passed away in 2003.

Lieutenant Vincent J. Bollon joined the FDNY in 1959, fulfilling his ambition to be a New York City fire fighter.
